Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: November 3, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the rules for using Loomis, a product of O2mation LLC. It is part of our Terms of Service. You are responsible for your bots and for everyone who uses your account.
1. Comment-to-DM Automation
- Send no more automated direct messages than Meta allows for each comment (generally one reply per comment).
- Do not send unsolicited spam or promotional messages to people who have not engaged with your content.
2. Knowledge Base Content
Your uploaded documents and bot instructions must not contain:
- Illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, offensive or defamatory content.
- Other people’s personal data, health information or financial data without a lawful basis.
- Content you do not have the rights to use.
- Malware, viruses or any harmful code.
3. AI Transparency
You must make it clear to people that they are talking to an AI, as required by laws such as the EU AI Act (Article 50) and California’s bot disclosure law. We recommend a greeting such as “Hi, I’m an AI assistant for [Business Name].” Do not present your bot as a human.
4. Children
Do not build or point bots at children, and do not use Loomis to knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the higher age set by the law where they live).
5. Prohibited Uses
- Illegal activity: any unlawful purpose, fraud, scams or phishing.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person, public figure or organization.
- Sensitive data: using a bot to collect health, financial, biometric, government ID or similar sensitive data without proper legal grounds and safeguards.
- Professional advice: offering a bot as a substitute for medical, legal or financial professionals.
- Harmful content: generating content that promotes violence, self-harm, hate or the exploitation of anyone.
- Platform rules: breaking the terms or policies of Meta, Telegram, or the AI model providers we use (currently Google Gemini).
- Abuse of Loomis: trying to bypass limits or the free trial (for example, with multiple accounts), overloading our systems, probing for security weaknesses, or reselling access without our written permission.
6. Consequences of Violation
If you break this AUP, we may remove content, pause bots, or suspend or close your account. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. For serious or repeated violations, we may act immediately and without a refund, except where the law requires a refund. We may report illegal activity to the authorities or to the affected platforms.
7. Reporting Abuse
To report a bot that breaks these rules, email legal@loomis.bot.
